Bär am Strand

With July fast approaching, I thought I'd show you what I keep in my beach/pool/boat bag. Having grown up sea side, things get trepidatious whenever the air I'm breathing doesn't have a salty quality to it. You can just imagine how I felt living in Arizona. Just teasing, but I really do love the beach and head there as often as the weather and my schedule permit.

Clockwise from top:
- My favorite suit so far this season: a plain black top from american eagle and these awesome grizzly bear bottoms from  we are handsome.
- Slouchy long sleeve cover ups are my favorite. This is a baggy beach jumper from wildfox couture.
- Water! I carry a bobble.
- The best beach / weekend tote by liebeskind berlin. I love the fun color for both the beach & traveling.
- Urbanears plattan headphones to plug into my iphone.
- Sun block! I use Neutrogena.
- Finally, make sure you've got a couple dollars for when the ice cream truck rolls through. You know you're gonna want a Ninja Turtle or Powerpuff Girl ice cream bar with gumball eyes.

Walk This Way

I'm not sure what made me change my mind about wedge sneakers. Perhaps the hidden height is what sold me on these styles, but all I know is that there was a time I thought they were hideous. Don't get me wrong - I love me some high tops - but something about the wedge always threw me off. At any rate, I'm all about them now. I love the spin they give to classic urban kicks and I'm pinching pennies in order to obtain my own pair. Since I'm usually a neutrals girl when it comes to shoes, I've compiled a few options (all in black) at a variety of price points. Decisions, decisions. Which do you like best?
